Unlike a single-hung window where only the bottom sash moves, a double-hung window allows both the top and bottom sashes to operate independently. You can slide the bottom up, slide the top down, or open both halfway to create a natural convective airflow cycle (drawing cool air in through the bottom and pushing warm air out the top).

Both the top and bottom window sashes are engineered with a tilt-in mechanism. By releasing the flush-mount tilt latches, you can pivot the sashes inward directly into the room, letting you easily wash the outside glass without ever needing a ladder.

The structural vinyl profiles feature a multi-chamber design that acts as a dead-air trap to block thermal transfer. Additionally, where the two sashes meet in the middle, they use an overlapping, interlocking meeting rail combined with heavy-duty weatherstripping to create a tight, airtight seal against heavy wind and driving rain.
